The National Mosque provides Islamic funeral services to the Muslim Ummah. These include washing and shrouding the deceased Muslims and performing the actual Salatul Janazah; and in some cases, accompanying the dead body to the graveyard for the burial rites. These include washing and shrouding the deceased Muslims and performing the actual Salatul Janazah; and in some cases, accompanying the dead body to the graveyard for the burial rites. One of the ablution areas of the Mosque is temporarily earmarked for washing and shrouding the deceased. Currently, four Staff of the Mosque, two males and two females employed and trained for this purpose are handling the washing and shrouding under the supervision of a senior officer and an Imam of the Mosque.
